Once you’re in town, below are some transport options for making your way to our venue.
Carpooling
Need a ride or willing to share a ride? We’ve created a space where conference delegates can self-organise themselves for carpooling. If you’re coming from the airport or coming from across town, feel free to use this tool for connecting with other delegates looking to carpool:
Please note, this is a light-weight tool for self-organising amongst delegates.
The conference is not responsible for coordinating or overseeing any of the logistics for carpooling.
Bus
- Metro bus routes 3, 8, and 29 run between the International Airport and the Chateau on the Park include.
- Use the Metro journey planner to find other options.
Currently eftpos payment is unavailable onboard buses, but you can pay using a Metrocard or cash.
Fares are ~$2 if you use a Metrocard and ~$4 if paying cash.
Taxi, Uber and other ridesharing
The Christchurch International Airport supports Uber, Ola, taxis, and Zoomy.
Note: there is often an additional $5.50 added to fares as an Airport Fee.
Hire cars
Multiple rental car companies are located in the International Christchurch Airport Arrivals terminal.
